In the last 20 years of experience with several skin conditions and receiving feedback from countless individuals, the following are my personal recommendations concerning Eczema, Psoriasis.
Absolutely number one would be the Lanolin Skin Cream each day after bath or shower. If you have open wounds where the skin may have cracked open or you have scratched in the middle of the night...apply our Lanolin Delicate Skin Oil w/Vit. E on those areas. The surrounding areas apply the skin cream until the wound heals up some. Then you can apply the cream everywhere. Recently, I used the Lanolin Lip Balm in the crook of my nieces arm where she had a very hard and stubborn patch of eczema. She is 4 years old and I told her to keep the Lip balm with her and to apply it whenever she thought about it. Her mother also applied it on that area at night when she went to bed. It worked perfectly...the patch is gone and the skin is normal again!!!
I'm sure many of you have experienced applying a cream to a crack or open wound and it has burned...this is why we use the oil to get it healed up and then use the cream all over on a daily basis. The cream provides a wonderful barrier for the skin, softens the skin and gives it flexiblity. They call it the barrier cream in New Zealand.
The next thing you must consider is the soap you are using. You must use a soap that does not aggravate your condition. Using a "Fatted" soap will stop your skin from being robbed of some of it's natural oils. If you are using a drying soap, you may be stripping your skin of oil and natural protection.
I got married 4 years ago and my husband had severe eczema on his shins. I asked him what he was doing and one of the things I had him change immediately was the soap he was using. He didn't believe our Lanolin Soap would get him clean or even help the situation...well, you can probably guess the answer. He uses our Lanolin soap now and tells the world...also, he began using a little oil on the open eczema areas and the lanolin cream on the rest of his body. The eczema was gone! Oh he forgets sometimes and it will crop back up when he doesn't protect his skin...but he now has the solution and gets his skin right back into shape when that happens.
On our Kits and Gift Paks page you will find the Diabetic, Eczema, Burn/Graft, Psoriasis Kit
...that is what I would suggest purchasing...it includes all 4 of the items I spoke of above.
NOTE: I would use the same regime above for Psoriasis, Dry Skin, Children's Eczema...and other associated skin conditions.
I'm not in a position to make health claims...the above is from years of personal experience with countless individuals with similiar problems. As always, consult your physician if needed.
